Slack, a platform and corporation for real-time messaging and collaboration between teams, is said to be awakening interest from major technology companies for buying their business, and one of the major industry names includes Amazon.com, announced Bloomberg on Thursday.
A deal could estimate Slack at least $ 9 billion, Bloomberg announced quoting people with knowledge of the issue.
Slack is a platform where employees can send messages, collaborate, organize and share files. Technology is also integrated with a wide variety of business software - such as Salesforce.com and Microsoft Corp's Skype - so employees can do all of their work within Slack.
The San Francisco-based company has raised more than $ 500 million from entrepreneurial capitalists who had valued its $ 3.8 billion business in private last year's financing.
Both Amazon and Slack were not immediately available to comment on this Bloomberg report.
